THE CHALLENGE:
Chevrolet wanted a PSA campaign to address the growing dangers of texting while driving. Our team was tasked with coming up with an idea that would decrease the amount of teens use of phones while behind the wheel.
MY ROLE:
I was brought in to the project to define the user experience. My task was to create a concept for a mobile app that would use motion detection and recorded messages to "call out" a teen if they picked up the phone while driving. Using peer pressure as a driving force, friends can record messages for you so you hear their voice when the phone is activated. I created the initial wireframes and concept designs that would be the basis for what became the "Call Me Out" app.

THE OUTCOME:
Chevrolet took our initial concept and hosted a teen hack-a-thon to see what they could build. The outcome was astounding. In the first month we saw:
•275k downloads
•45k messages ignored
•40+ stories about the app in the press
