THE CHALLENGE:
1000 Hours Outside was growing exponentially and needed to release an official app before competitors beat them to it. The app needed a way to track time spent outside and also to record moments a family experiences together.
MY ROLE:
I am the principal designer for the user experience, as well as the interface designer. I created a style guide and components using Figma to create a scalable design system that the developer can access.
THE OUTCOME:
The community was excited and eager to adopt the new app. Overall positive response from users. We have recently added new features including a calendar with journal to record memories, as well as our newest Recommendations feature with searchable map, ratings of places, and reviews by other 1KHO members.
